EUGENE, OREGON – Sunshine Retirement Living welcomes a new Executive Director, Ronald J. Glover, to its Garden Way Retirement Community. Glover’s extensive experience in property management made him the ideal choice for the luxury independent living community.
Glover graduated from Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana with a Bachelor of Arts in Film, Television and Radio Production and Management as well as a minor in Business Management and Administration. He also holds a Certified Shopping Center Manager designation.
He began his career with 15 years of experience as a Senior General Manager with General Growth Properties. Glover started at Chapel Hills Mall in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he led his team to nominations for “Best Non-Retail Specialty Leasing,” “Specialty Leasing Program of the Year,” and “Specialty Leasing Program of the Year” along with “Management Team of the Year.” After seven years in Colorado, he relocated to Eugene, where he led his team at Gateway Mall to similar success, receiving nominations for “Manager of the Year” and “Management Team of the Year.”
Glover transitioned from retail property management in 2014, when he started as a Senior Property Manager for Duck’s Village, a multi-unit student and conventional residential community in Eugene.
He then served as the Chief Operating Officer of Lunar Logic, a technology and digital marketing firm. There, Glover was tasked with managing and developing the company’s overall business performance. As COO, he increased the company’s performance via contract administration with vendors and services, retail sales management, events and promotions, marketing, public relations and media, and by leading the company’s growth and development strategies.
Immediately prior to joining the Garden Way team, Glover served as a Property Management Supervisor at Homes For Good (formerly HACSA) in Lane County, Oregon. There, Glover was responsible for ensuring that his assigned properties were operated in an efficient, cost-effective manner while providing high quality, well-maintained housing to residents. He was also tasked with monitoring and maintaining the fiscal health of his assigned properties as well as conducting unit inspections to ensure decent, safe, and sanitary conditions and compliance with Uniform Physical Inspection standards. He also ensured compliance with Fair Housing, HUD regulations, HACSA policies and procedures, and Oregon Landlord/Tenant law.
